MINING AND METALS CENTRAL ASIA 2026 AND KAZCOMAK 2026: KAZAKHSTAN STRENGTHENS ITS POSITION AS A STRATEGIC HUB FOR EURASIA’S MINING AND METALLURGICAL INDUSTRY

From 16 to 18 September, Almaty will host the 31st Central Asian International Mining Exploration & Mining Equipment Exhibition — Mining and Metals Central Asia, alongside the 22nd Kazakhstan International Road and Heavy Construction, Communal Machinery Exhibition — Kazcomak 2026.

The region’s flagship industry event will bring together equipment manufacturers, subsoil users, metallurgical companies, investors, engineering companies, research centres, and representatives of state development institutions.

In 2026, a record 520 companies from 30 countries will participate in the event: Australia, Austria, Belarus, Canada, China, Croatia, Cyprus, the Czech Republic, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, India, Italy, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, the Netherlands, Poland, Russia, South Africa, South Korea, Spain, Switzerland, Türkiye, Ukraine, the UAE, the United Kingdom, the United States, and Uzbekistan. Austria, Canada, China, Finland, Germany, Russia, and Türkiye will be represented by national groups. Sixty-two companies will present their solutions in the Kazakhstan market for the first time, confirming the growing interest of international businesses in Kazakhstan and Central Asia.

The event will cover a total area of more than 20,000 sq. m, including over 3,000 sq. m of outdoor exhibition space, where approximately 150 units of heavy machinery and mining equipment will be displayed.

Alongside the extensive exhibition, participants and visitors can look forward to an intensive two-day business programme in the conference halls of Pavilions 8 and 11. One of the key events will be the plenary session “Critical Minerals and the Future of Kazakhstan’s Mining and Metallurgical Complex: From Resources to Projects,” dedicated to developing production chains, deep processing of raw materials, manufacturing high-value-added products, improving the regulatory environment, and expanding international cooperation.

The exhibition will also host GEOTECH FORUM, an expert platform for discussing the prospects of Kazakhstan’s mining and geological sectors. The first forum session, organised with the support of the Kazakhstan Chamber of Mines, will be held under the theme “Kazakhstan’s New Political Architecture and the Future of the Mining Industry.” The second session will focus on “Digital Mining and Metallurgical Complex: From Automation to Intelligent Management and Robotization.”

A separate specialised AI Stage will focus on the digital maturity of enterprises, the application of artificial intelligence, and the introduction of new technologies into production processes. The stage’s headline speaker will be Dr Ali Soofastaei of Australia, one of the world’s leading experts in digital transformation and AI in the mining industry. He has worked with BHP, Vale, and Newmont and authored numerous publications on the application of artificial intelligence in the mining and metallurgical complex.

The business programme will also include seminars by Epiroc, Sandvik, CIDRA Minerals Processing Inc., and Norservice; a seminar by the Canadian group; a round-table discussion jointly organised with the Republican Association of Mining and Metallurgical Enterprises Association of Legal Entities (AMME); and the presentation of an industry journal.

KAZCOMAK is Kazakhstan’s largest specialized exhibition, bringing together leading international and local companies that manufacture machinery and equipment for quarrying, asphalt production, industrial construction, road and residential infrastructure development, municipal works, and road maintenance.

This year’s exhibitors include AutoBrand, Eurasia Machinery, Zenit Invest, Kamaz Euro Service, Kurylis Tekhnika, Spets-Avto, Borusan Cat Kazakhstan, Globus Machinery, Sevalo Engineering Machinery Kazakhstan, and others.

The exhibitors will showcase a wide range of lifting, road construction and warehouse machinery, mining and quarrying equipment, crawler excavators, wheel and telescopic loaders, mini excavators, bulldozers and graders, asphalt mixing plant equipment, as well as many other technologies and solutions.

Mining and Metals Central Asia 2026 is a platform where representatives of government, business, and the expert community discuss new industrial projects, investment opportunities, and technological solutions shaping the development of the mining and metallurgical industry in Kazakhstan and Central Asia.

The event is held with the official support of the Ministry of Industry and Construction of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Akimat of Almaty, the Atameken National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and the Association of Mining and Metallurgical Enterprises (AMME).
